some conspiracy theories can be thought provoking, but others are just absolutely laughable..a few I've heard in the past:
the government invented crack cocaine to wipe out
the African American race.
the twin towers never fell, and are actually still there, surrounded by an invisible force field.
the entire Republican party engaged in mass child-rape orgies and murdered them.
my personal favorite is those who believe we really didn't go to the moon. people seriously believe some really dumb and stupid shite, and it genuinely worries me.

This is pretty stupid. I'm not naive enough to think the government has never done some shady shite that we don't know about, but some of the conspiracies are really not even plausible.

quote:Wow, didn't know about that one, and conspiracies are a hobby of mine. My personal favorites are the "reptilian alien" believers, which I've found is the place where all conspiracy roads lead. I also enjoy the "chem-trail" cultists. "No, that's not a jet stream. The government is poisoning us (and themselves, apparently), and we have a 50-year-old patent request to prove it."

But it all started with "Paul McCartney is dead" theory, made all the more bizarre after his ex did an interview on British TV in which she said he was part of something so shocking that no one would believe it if she told them.
