Little known rules of baseball

I've played baseball and watched it for 30 years and I am still learning rules of the game. The most surprising to me is a tie doesn't go to the runner. That shocked the hell out of me. I looked up other rules and found too many to name that I knew nothing about.
A few that stuck out to me:
1.Tie doesn't go to the runner.
2.There is a such thing as a catcher balk.
3. Pitcher has only 20 seconds to pitch the ball. If he fails to do so, the batter is awarded first.
I feel like an idiot. Any others little known rules of baseball that people may not know?

I was not aware that a walk with bases loaded will give the batter credit for an RBI.

I played catcher my whole life. They never call a balk on the catcher. I was warned many times for moving out of the catcher's box before the pitch was being delivered, but it's a rule they never really enforce.

I think I saw this once in my whole life of watching the baseball, primarily the Braves.

This is never enforced.

A man with four balls cannot walk.

Read "As They See 'Em" by Bruce Weber.
Fantastic book about umpires. Lotta weird situations in there I wasn't aware of.

This almost happened in the LSU game last weekend. If the pitcher balks, but the pitcher is already in the process of throwing the ball to the plate, the ball is not dead. If the ball is hit into fair play (or wild pitch), the offense has the option of taking the result of the play, or the balk.
I think this weekend the opponents pitcher balked, threw a wild pitch, but the ump in the field seemed to be signaling dead ball. Bregaman almost scored from 2nd base on the wild pitch because the catcher didn't run after the ball.

Do or do not, there is no tie.

I've seen this called a couple times growing up but ALWAYS when a team was trying to intentionally walk the batter.

This is definitely incorrect. Not sure what level of baseball you are referring to, but if the umpire wants they can call a "ball" not award the hitter first base.

Recall some young punk umpire pulled this rule out of his handbook cost us the game
Pitcher has only 20 seconds to pitch the ball. If he fails to do so, the batter is awarded first.

This one is completely a judgement call by the ump, and it only applies if he's on the rubber

Some people do not know you can have a tie in MLB.

No one claims that's a rule. It's more of a saying.
If it's a tie. The tore didn't beat the runner. If it didn't beat the runner.. He's safe. That's all it means.

You seem hung up on this tie goes to the runner thing
Everyone knows that isn't a real rule

Well, I mean, if he's there at the same time the ball gets there, he's 99% of the time called safe?

An infield fly can land 3/4ths of the way into the outfield
