The bone-in chicken is the only thing I like at Popeyes. And I fricking love it.
Exactly. I said as much earlier, but some people got sand on their tampons and didn't see it.

Personal?
OK. I will edit the drunk thing. And the dating the fry cook. Unless you are.
Just to clarify. I'll take a fried breast or thigh from Popeyes over a CFL sandwich or nuggets or tenders any day.
I'll never eat another fry or tender from the Pop.

Ya, I caught on too late.

I will say this.... if Truett Cathy ever decides to get into the "fried chicken" industry....game over for everyone else!
I know that is a stretch because of the respect of the product that they bring to the market but if they did....it would crush the comp. Customer service matched with quality product...
But I dont see that being a move they would ever make though.
His place in Rome GA is great! We held a business conference there a couple of years ago and I was able to see his good deeds 1st hand at that place. Dude is a Hoss! I was inspired with every word that came out of his mouth!

yeh...its been a few years but I am sure that is it. Locate behind a long arse country road behind a college of some sort?
If I am not mistaken it was built to house battered women and children and they lease out the extra space to business conferences to raise income to support the place.
I had a few hundred people go there for a "business retreat" of sort. It was a great relaxing time.

Berry College.
I just read they have given $68 million away in the past 3 years.
I don't know if that's a lot for a company of their size.

There is no reason to ever deviate from regular popeye's chicken (Spicy or mild) and red beans and rice.

Popeyes' french fries are half the reason I'm fat.
They're fricking delicious.

yeh...thats it Berry...you gotta pass right though the campus circle to get o the road that leads to the place....and the place is a dead end!
I remember my room over looked a 100 acre field or so surrounded by trees one afternoon I counted over 100 deer grazing that were easily within shooting distance from by night stand window!

You probably could have taken one by walking out there with a handful of corn and stabbing it in the neck.
I will have to give the fries another try some time when I am in LA

all fast food service in ATL is bad and getting worse...even chikfila. As you leave the metro, it does gets better. Windy Hill is bad. I have had same problems in the past.
FTR popeyes > chikfila
Several years back, I was at the popeyes on roswell rd (buckhead) and saw dan reeves go through the drive thru. This was after the quadruple bypass (obviously hiding it from the wife by eating in the car). Man, popeyes is good if you will risk your life for it.

You're crazy. Popeyes is top tier fast food (not saying much, but it's a guilty pleasure)

Check.

Worst chicken tenders
Check. I've had them three times from as many locations, and they were the worst tenders I've ever had anywhere. They taste strange, nothing like the bone-in chicken, and not much like chicken, for that matter.

Worst french fries
Well. Two out of three ain't wrong.

I like mixing Popeye's mashed potatoes and gravy with the dirty rice and then dragging my fried chicken through the mixture before digging in. Yes, I am a savage.

Popeyes has the best red beans and rice, biscuits, mashed potatoes and chicken. They have the worst service in the country though.
Posted on 2/19/14 at 6:52 pm to CP3LSU25
Popeyes red beans 'n' rice is the best fast food side dish. Could eat a bucket of it.
