quote:I would not want to, but not for dangerous reasons, but quality of life. No different than living down wind of a paper plant, with the exception of H2S. There should be a vapor recovery system depending on PPM level. Mercaptans smell but I don't believe they are harmful.
especially in volatile oil to condensate/gas area where there is a lot of H2S.

You'd have no problem day after day breathing in various amounts of H2S, methane, ethane, benzene whatever in trace amounts? Not to mention the fricking dust down there due to all the dirt moving ops.
Basically, their living in the middle of a giant chemical plant.

If H2S is suspected of being released into neighborhoods, I would have H2S monitoring set up around my house and neighborhood by a third party. If any hits were recorded and depending on concentration and frequency you'd probably have a pretty strong case in court against the violators.
