If you were in FL a course like the UC would be 30k to join and $1200/month. Believe me I have looked. 75k gets you a membership to lake nona, and I was told upwards of 150K to be a member at isleworth and interlachen

Damn I need to get in the golf course business. Thats insane to pay 75k and up to be a member. But I guess if people will pay, then why not charge that much?

Do you realize how expensive the land is in FL? Property taxes? construction? upkeep?

ETA: and those fees are not indicative to most courses. the courses listed there are home courses of like half the PGA Tour. When Tiger Woods lives off the back of the 16th green you can fill a 1,000 person membership at $150k/pop in a day.

UClub is a hell of a deal if you play enough though. It is the nicest course in the area. The practice facility is to notch, and they are slowly losing members due to the difficulty, which means less crowds

all depends on your market clientele. Those clubs market to the touring pros and the 1% of america. I couldn't even imagine the initiation fee at last weeks tour stop Rivera CC in Pacific Palisades, CA. I assume 200K plus
