It'll go to arbitration and he'll get money in between WR and TE. WR is 10 million TE is 6 million he'll get 8.
Except that he's faster than Colston. So until you actually get the facts straight don't comment on shite you don't understand.

If that's the case, the saints should let him go. He's nothing but a slower colston.

I'm glad someone remembers this.

Except that it will fail. CBA is clear.
Somehow the CBA managed to screw up something that was relatively settled by combining positions (i.e the offensive line) and decreeing that percentage of plays was the determination of a player's position.
Also, I just want to point out the insanity that Jimmy Graham is arguing, in essence, that he should be paid more because he isn't good at blocking.

WR is 11.6. TE is 6.8. Middle is 9.2.

So basically, you just make up random numbers and then say to someone else:

So until you actually get the facts straight don't comment on shite
But then say it's ok that you don't get the facts straight because you were closer? Got it.

I love the responses on here when you call someone out for being a dumbass. Classic.

No offense, but I'd be pissed if I was drafted as a TE, played as a WR for all intents and purposes, and then was paid as a TE.

What no one seems to be mentioning is that one of the main reason he lines up outside so often is because he can't block for shite, which in turn makes the offense predictabl. So basically what he is saying by pulling this shite is that he should be rewarded with more money for being a one dimensional player.
shite, if he could actually block someone I wouldn't be opposed to paying him like a top 5 receiver. At least then the offense wouldn't be so damn predictable and they could actually get some semblance of a consistent running game.
Also, if he was a WR maybe he could have helped his case by not getting shut down easily when another team put a good corner on him, i.e. Aqib Talib.
So as far as I'm concerned he can be paid as top 15- 20 WR or the number 1 TE. Regardless the money should be abut the same.

Nobody is mentioning this because it doesn't matter in the any sort of the process.

He doesn't seemed to be pissed off when he is named to the Pro Bowl as a Tight End. Or when people say he has the second most receiving touchdowns in a season for tight end in the history of the NFL. He doesn't seemed to be pissed when he sets records for the tight end position.

What was he supposed to do? It was a non-issue until it came to this.
I guess I don't understand why you keep bringing this up as some sort of proof. Players in other sports change positions all the time, why is football so fundamentally different?

Irrelevant to this conversation.

or you know, "2013 All-Pro Tight End Jimmy Graham"
Why didn't he say, nay bro. I am a WR not a TE.

That is the first time I have mentioned anything about him being named to the pro bowl as a tight end in this entire thread.

Right. It's a non issue until it comes to the money argument. He is okay with being called a tight end when he is breaking records and being named to the pro bowl. But when it comes to a contract he should all of the sudden be a WR?
I really don't care what happens one way or another. I am a Saints fan and hope Jimmy remains a Saint. I just don't think he is a WR for the purposes of a contract.

Thats a cool opinion, and the NFL is going to disagree with you

How was he supposed to disagree? Even had he said hey guys, I'm a WR, they would have classified him as a TE anyways.
I just think it's funny all these Saints fans are bashing Jimmy, but man he was supposedly as good as Megatron earlier this year.

I don't see why more people don't realize this.
With as much money as Brees is tying up, we really can't afford to lock in Jimmy long term IMO. THat money would be better spent on defense. Look at Seattle. I hope the Saints Franchise him and then let him walk.

Then why should he be classified and paid like a top 5 WR in the game? I still haven't seen one legitimate response from you or anyone indicating why it's cool to classify him as a TE for everything except his contract.
