I am looking to purchase a f150 lariat 4 door 4x4. What do you guys think is going to be the best price I can find on one? I really wanted to stay at 35000-36000 but just have not found one.

I got a Lariat Crewcab 2WD back in July for 34k. It didn't have sunroof, sony system or navigation(all things I can live without).

If you can find the lowest end Lariat, you may be able to get a 4WD in that price range.

ETA: I got mine from Hollingsworth in BR. Both Hollingsworth and Robinson Bros offer about 10k off sticker.

Try Mac haik ford in Katy, use them as leverage unless you want to drive there

If you can find a 2013 Lariat 4x4 with the 501a package you could get to 36. It shouldn't be hard to find one right now and get a good deal. Your going to get a better deal on a new 2013 than a used 2011-2013.

I'm getting this itch too but how do you guys justify owning a $35k-40k vehicle? Seems excessive. Are these trucks worth it?

I've always paid cash for my cars and I'm driving a 17 year old SUV. I'm not excited about a $600 note when I've never had one.

Do a search on cargurus(dot)com. It will list anything your looking for from the web and it will tell you whether it below, at, or above fair market value. Then go from there.

You can name your price on any vehicle using 4lsu2's car buying method, fwiw.

Don't get in a hurry, and buy used. I found a 2010 Lariat last year with under 50k miles for $15k. 2WD though.

Ill never have another vehicle note. I can't understand a $600/month note on something that essentially depreciates to nothing in 10-12 years. You can buy a $150k house for $600/mo.

If you're set on new, look up Mac Haik online. Their prices are the best I've seen. Not sure if they come off the Internet price much though.

I was in your same position recently. I wanted a new FX4 but didnt want a 40k truck that I would be scared to get dirty or scratched up. I settled for a 2010 FX4 with 50k miles. Paid 25k it has remainder of factory warranty to 70k miles and I bought a bumper to bumper extended warranty that covers me up to 100k through USAA for an additional 2.5k.
