Also, I disagree with people dismissing the early work as "pop bullshite" or something like that. I still jam to that early stuff every once in a while. Please Please Me, With The Beatles, Beatles for Sale, A Hard Day's Night and Help all have fantastic stuff.

I Feel Fine by the Beatles and The Last Time by the Rolling Stones are two of the most under-rated rock & roll songs of all time.

Something is easily George's best and one of the best songs they made in general.

Although I find myself in the uncomfortable position of agreeing with Heady . . . what he said.

Rubber Soul was a breakthrough album in a sense. But there were some real pop gems in in their early work.

It's all great, fun music. But I suspect there are those who don't "get" it and have trouble appreciating what a lot of us who were with the Beatles from day one "got" from them at the start. Maybe they didn't actually live in that original Beatles era, or they came of age further along into the Beatles' musical reign and had an entirely different Beatles experience.

As for sucky Beatles songs, the one I have trouble appreciating was on the White Album - "Revolution #9" is revolting.
