I am licensed for building construction in 14 states. Texas doe not require a license. The worst contractors I've ever seen across the board (and believe me, I've been doing this shite a long time and have seen some crappy ones) are in the state of Texas. Especially residential.

Business law is word for word out of the book. It's very easy. Residential test isn't hard for anyone who has knowledge of construction. I did hear that the residential test was changed recently and is more difficult but not sure if that is true or not.
