This is such a pile of horseshite. Just a bunch of contractors protecting contractors. Another in the long list of protectionist policies in Louisiana.

I am licensed for building construction in 14 states. Texas doe not require a license. The worst contractors I've ever seen across the board (and believe me, I've been doing this shite a long time and have seen some crappy ones) are in the state of Texas. Especially residential.
