Yeah when Carson was on the Tonight Show, it was in NYC, but Leno wanted it out in Burbank, so the studio moved it out there. Now that Fallon has taken over, they have moved it back to the original studio where Carson had the show. Heard that on my flight to NYC for the Super Bowl from a local. Had no clue about all that haha

Yeah, Carson's Tonight Show was in LA for 20 years.

So it started in NY but moved to Cali in Carsons later years? Now I'm confused haha

Carson had it moved out to LA if I'm not mistaken.

Ah so started in NY, but moved to Cali under Carson to be closer to Hollywood and good interviews. Kept out west by Leno, but it has finally come back to NY via Fallon. Crazy how these things work.
