Right it's the cops fault. Not the guy breaking the law growing weed.

When police serve warrants, they are in uniform or have POLICE in big arse letters across their chest and back.
in the dark, with a lot of noise + commotion, you don't really notice those things

best indicator of future behavior is past behavior, and he hadn't shown any signs of violent behavior, even when being arrested, previously

Cops need to stop acting like they're busting down doors in Afghanistan. In Afghanistan, the guys busting doors INTEND to kill folks on the other side of the door. That's not supposed to be what cops are doing.
Correct.
Trying to prevent them from destroying evidence is not a justifiable reason for a no knock warrant. That's not worth dying for.

When police serve warrants, they are in uniform or have POLICE in big arse letters across their chest and back. Plus they're telling POLICE SEARCH WARRANT. Yeah sounds like robbers to me.

How do you know what he would or wouldn't have done? Do you know him personably? Get real dude.

How do you know this? What facts do you base this decision on?

I personally know of a guy(relative of friends) & his friends who robbed /killed some drug dealers in Metairie or Kenner a few years back impersonating Law enforcement.
People battering on your door & waking you at 2:00 am are frightening/disconcerting.

Only people who have no regard for the law can have these opinions. Everyone just gives the criminal pot grower a pass like he didn't do anything.
Cops fricked up.
What's sad is that you apparently think that ANYTHING a cop does in an attempt to arrest someone of enforce the law is OK.
It is not.

It's one thing when that evidence is needed to prevent an extraordinary crime/incident/disaster happening elsewhere but it's entirely another for being solely used to prosecute the defendant and that's not worth dying for.

Yep.
I mean OK. You need to the drop on a home with 4 or 5 known violent gang bangers, you probably surround the place and go all SWAT on them.
A dude in his house with marijuana plants? Come the frick on.

I cannot respect no knock warrants because they are a symptom of the militarization of the police in the United States. The police have a military mindset.
Leave that shite in foreign wars and keep it off the shores our homeland.

He wasn't hurting anybody or forcing the pot on anyone. He had no business being the target of a no knock warrant.

Then puts it all on the guy trying to enforce the law. Sad
Personal feelings aside, the cop fricked up and chose poorly and went in gung ho.

Well frick. We'll just start sending warrants in the mail and hope crime stops.
So crime stops because wanna be hero cops kick down doors of pot growers at 2:00 am. Yeah right.
Every arrest those adrenaline junkie cops make only means another 'job opening' for another dealer.
These people can be picked up unsuspectingly/ safely at anytime.
War on drugs cops an cop looking for a thrill his life.
