1/2 was disappointing... no doubt about that. We didnt get some of the top in state players. And ever since that day theres been a lot of paranoia and questions surrounding the 2014 class.

And we still dominated our in state recruiting. Got the big fish in Leonard Fournette, who happens to be the #1 overall player and a "once in a lifetime" type of prospect. And we get Dupre, the #1 WR in the country and 1 of the best WR prospects to come out in a while. Also get Brumfield, Quinn, Harris, Godchaux, Williams, Clapp, Washington, Alexander, etc. All are studs. And we replaced those guys that we missed out on with just as good or better players at those positions.

Hootie doesnt want to come here... fine we upgrade and replace him with Jamal Adams.

Gerald Willis wants to go to UF? Fine. We will take a stud out of FL in Travonte Valentine, who is a much better fit for our program and could end up being better than GW at DT.

CRob wants to go to Bama? OK... we will go in the state of TX and take a very athletic DE in Teuhema, who just happens to have a little brother... who just happens to be a 5* and a top OT prospect for the 2015 year, who committed to us and is done with recruiting.

We absolutely dominated with out of state prospects too. Got 2 of the top 5 players from TX, the #1 player from MS, #1 player from Illinois who is the #1 MLB prospect. And the top player from Oklahoma.

Yeah 1/2 wasnt as big as we thought it would be, but we did land 2 5* in Adams and LF. And LFs the top player in the nation. But what LSU and its entire staff/family/players/ recruits have done this past month is second to nobody. OBJ recruiting Dupre was huge. Ed Paris getting Jamal Adams here was huge. Fehoka Fanaika helping reel in Teuhema and Lealaimatafao was huge.

Rebounding like we did down the stretch is truly a testament to the players we have here, the coaches we have here, and the recruits we have coming to with this class. It also shows how big of a team and program we have become nationally. Took the top players out of multiple states. Thats amazing. Regardless of who we didnt land, this is 1 of the best classes in the country and 1 of the best classes we have ever had at LSU. And all these young men are extremely talented and high character. Expecting big things from this class in the future.

Proud of everyone involved, we wrecked shop this year....

Great summary. I agree, besides Cam Rob, I think we really got everything we needed and more in this class and did not really miss out on anything that great.

There's KG5989 breaking it down right again.
How many coaching staffs could lose 6 in state Top 300 players and finish 2nd in the country in recruiting ?

1! Your Fighting Tigers of LSU. Led by CLM.

Way to go!!!!
