From the Beta we know we will be able to play as a warrior, sorcerer, temple knight (cleric), bandit (hunter), dual swordsman, explorer?, and deprived.

I did several runs in Dark Souls using a quality-build warrior, the wanderer, the thief, and the sorcerer. I never made a pyromancer, or faith build. I think to start off I'll probably go with the warrior for my first time around. Although I am very tempted by the dual swordsman.

What are you guys thinking for your first playthrough?

Dual Swordsman...Not sure how long one would survive without a shield. My main in Dark Souls was a INT Build. I had a warrior as well. My INT build kicked arse in PVE. I did ok in PVP, but I found that a faith build is better in PVP. For DS2, I'll start with something familiar such as the INT build and then try other classes and builds. I didn't do much PVP in Dark Souls, I will definitly give that more time in DS2.

I went Wanderer in every attempt. I like being able to roll/dodge around.

I'll be doing my usual glass-cannon INT build. It wrecks all of the bosses, but is kind of shitty for PvP. This might be a problem if I'm going to be invaded all of the time.
