What is the rage with these?
They seem to be extremely popular and productive baits...
Just looking for first-hand reviews/insight before I donate 15 dollars to Tackle Warehouse for 1 pack ($8 plus $6 shipping)

Never used them, but since fishing season is gearing up and I have an addiction to buying baits I don't need, I guess I'll pick some up. Problem is I probably won't use them, so I won't be able to tell you how well they work.

Website states that they are ribbed for a fuzzy feeling

Can't imagine that being any different than a skinny dipper (or SD knockoff) with a belly weighted hook.

how would one rig that and what orientation would it swim

I like those Big Bite skinny dipper knock offs. I've never thrown the tog in your picture, but it looks like a real good setup. What I do throw a lot in the spring is a Senko with a spinner screwed in the tail. I caught 50 one day last March on it.

I've always been curious about these. You really like?

This is the absolute best setup I have ever used. Have caught many fish with it.

Apparently Bass Assassin has come out with the "Boss Shiner" for $4.99/5pk which is a Keitech copy.
I dont mind paying for something that works. Ex: Yamamoto Senkos have an undeniable weight difference (and higher price) than the Yum Dingers, but I always get the Yamamoto...
ETA: It is the shipping that jacks the price up out of my range. I guess i could buy $50 worth of tackle and get free shipping..

There are a lot of what I call "paddle tail senkos" on the market. I wouldn't go out of my way to pay that much to have a paticular brand shipped to me.
If that brand is what you want, then buy a lot of different colors and combine shipping.

You can buy the cork screw thing with an eye on it, and the blade and swivel individually.
IDK if someone sells it...

Alx, mine is put together from a few parts from BPS.
Blade with split ring, swivel, screw eye
I retrieve the same, just a little faster (shorter pauses between jerks).
ETA: I cut about 1/2" off the end of the senko to get it to screw in straight and have something to grab.

Ah, the stuff I posted is basically steady retrieve like slow roll spinner bait.

No. 1 Colorado blade attached to a hitchhiker. Slow steady retrieve. When they hit it, let load em up like a frog. Bite a 1/4-1/2" off the end of the worm to give yourself a better base. Also run your hook a little farther than normal down the worm, it helps prevent short strikes which tends to happen because of fish hitting at the blade. Also, the Big Bite senko knock off works a lot better because it's harder and stays together better. The Senko brand falls apart easily and you'll constantly lose spinners.
