It's probably unavoidable at this point. The GOP will have to drift further and further left to remain relevant, until it's unrecognizable.

They do this and there will never be another Republican elected.

Conservatives wont vote for them because they are RINOs. Liberals wont vote for them because they aren't Dems. They aren't going to excite either base.

IMO, this is exactly what the Libs want. When the news/talking heads are 100% on board with this, chances are its not a good idea. It's the same as if Eisenhower would've called Hitler and asked him where the best spot to invade Europe was.
