Is that a plate with a straw on it by your bed?

No, the "plate" is a Delft tile with a Dutch windmill in the middle of the circle that I use as a coaster for the occasional Glenmorangie, Guiness or
modest Pinot Noir. It's on an end table next to the futon in my office at home.
One of the blades on the windmill sort of looks like a stick or a straw now that I look at it.

Layla is my ADD, make a break for it anytime, high energy goofball miscreant. At times she runs out of energy and crashes wherever
she finds herself. In his instance, she hopped up on the futon, got her head rubbed and almost before I could swivel my chair back to the computer,
she was like that.

She's a big goofy dumbell, but she is one of the most loyal and sweet hearted dogs I've ever had. Great pyredane (dane and pyrenees).

This is my Nola-girl. I'm not a huge fan of the name Nola, but the couple we adopted her from named her "Nulluh". We figured it at least would sound similar without having to explain to everyone how she got the name Nulluh.

I just brought my new baby home today!! his name's Axl!

I really had been wanting to adopt an adult dog (or at least older pup), because I really hate going through the crying, potty training and chewing phases...but every dog I liked at local adoptions/shelters got snatched up before I could, craigslist people would stop responding...I was leaning towards an Aussie, so I finally caved and searched for puppies since I figure our other dogs would have a hard time accepting a new adult dog anyway.

I haven't even had him for a full day yet and already love him, he is absolutely sweet, fricking adorable and nothing like the whimpery puppy I was expecting to deal with (he's sleeping right now) I can't wait to spend years with him! gotta teach him all the cool tricks
