FYI the new addition will have purple seats, not gold.

I'm interested how the screens turn out. They look they are propped up against a balcony area

What is the purpose of the sections that jut above the rest of the new section?
Posted on 1/31/14 at 4:01 pm to Tha Herg
The top section is for visitors

I'm referring to the uneven blocks.
Eta: Thanks. Been wondering why they weren't uniformly aligned.

The NFL refers to LSU at the jungle....We need vines growing up the side of the stadium....

This at least explains what the hell was on the east side of the expansion sticking up twice as tall as anything else. Still not sure that I like how much taller it is than the other concession/bathroom areas.

I imagine we would easily crush the biggest CFB venue if we ever decided to expand the NEZU..

We won't do any expansion for the forseeable future, especially not in the NEZ. We just redid the entire area outside the NEZ.

Yea, that'd be about 20-30 years down the road probably. And it'd have to depend on factors such as growth of the alumni base or even the states population.

I was thinking this as well. Most 100k+ stadiums are fully enclosed on all sides and yet Tiger Stadium is sitting at 99,000-100,000 with a whole side open. I do think it's too far away to expand the NEZ plus Mikes habitat and what not down there. If they ever were, they would probably add just a row of suites.

They need to shutdown North Stadium Drive.
I could see an expansion in another 10-15 years if they fill the newest expansion and the waiting lists continues to grow.
Most stadiums in the 100K+ range are tapped out as far as expansion goes.

What do you mean? As in they would need to shut down N. Stadium to do any kind of expansion?

Eh... We'll be right around 100K. Kind of a flatline number. I really think it won't be for another 25-30 years before we consider another expansion. And like you said, it would depend on the success of consistently selling the new SEZ seats, state of the program, state economy and population, etc.

This and the fact that we just dumped so much money in the exterior or the NEZ is why I don't think we'll make any expansions in a long time.
