The 13-plus years in prison that former LSU, McNeese State University and Miami Dolphins running back Cecil “The Diesel” Collins served for a 1999 burglary in Miami may not be the last of the time he spends behind bars.
The Louisiana Supreme Court cleared the way earlier this month for prosecutors to once again try to persuade a state judge to revoke Collins’ probation in a pair of 1998 Baton Rouge cases and send him back to prison for up to five years.

he breaks into a house and gets 20 years?
I'm not saying what he did was right, but that seems like a little too long

That's still pretty damn long....consequences should be feared along with at least being consistent.

I guarantee there's been thousands of B&E recidivist in Louisiana and Florida since 2001 who haven't served half the time he has.

Could you imagine spending a month in prison?
What about a year?
The guy has been in prison a long long time.
You act like he got out on good behavior after a few weeks.

and what age was he? 22 years old or something?

They've really stuck it to this guy.

Dude got 13 years in Florida based mainly on what he did here. That made him a 3 time offender and broke the terms of his original Louisiana probation.
Sucks for him but he still looks like he could run the ball for a 5 yard average.

Having said that, I don't get adding more time to his sentence.

That man should have been freed a long time ago. This is getting ridiculous. The punishment definitely has not fit the crime here.

What a waste of talent.

And he "fondled women". I suspect there is a lot more to his story that we are not hearing.

He was never charged with a sex crime, but I think he did enough to make the cops want to keep him away from the general public for as long as possible.

Cecil Collins is a sick f'er. He deserves any time he gets.
