We play Minnesota twice in the next 10 days.

Minnesota's Nikola Pekovic has bursitis in his right ankle and will be re-evaluated in 7-10 days, team says after MRI today.

1-2 wins??
If Varejao is out tonight we could finally be seeing some luck go our way enough to start a nice little win streak. Pek missing both games could be huge, he was the main reason they crushed us earlier in the season.

New Orleans coach Monty Williams had a difficult decision to make against Minnesota's bruising front court of Kevin Love and Nikola Pekovic.
He decided to use young star Anthony Davis on Love in an effort to neutralize the Timberwolves' best player. That left power forward Ryan Anderson to match up against Pekovic, and the burly center ate the Pelicans up down low.
Pekovic had 22 points and seven rebounds and the Timberwolves led by as many as 30 points in cruising to a 124-112 victory over the Pelicans on Wednesday night.
"On nights like today when maybe they want to stop Kevin Love, we had another guy who is Pek," said Ricky Rubio, who had 14 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and three steals. "He is strong. If you don't put a big body on him, he's going to destroy him."
Pekovic got to the free throw line for 11 of Minnesota's 35 attempts and Love had a quiet night by his lofty standards with 21 points and six rebounds. Minnesota shot 55.7 percent and forced a season-high 18 turnovers from the Pelicans.

Ronny Turiaf played well in his place last night.

This decreases our chances of tanking.

We never had a chance of tanking.

Turiaf is a competent back up, but Pekovic was just too physical for the Pels. 11 Free Throws, we had to foul a lot to hold him to 22 points. While I have plenty of faith in Stiemsma and Ajinca's ability to foul, they shouldn't be forced to foul because they can't handle Turiaf. I also wouldn't expect Turiaf to be a primary option on offense. Minnesota trying to beat us with Turiaf is like us trying to beat teams with Jason Smith.

I use twitter to find info, but I'm not on it. I think Twitter is great for news dissemination, but have no clue why everyday people use it to talk to each other.

That's my use of it as well.
