Still need the DT position to step up or DEs won't make much difference.

This is the key. It's amazing how mediocre the DT play was.

I think the best thing about Rasco is he plays assignment football, you see it on zone reads and bootlegs. He also plays nice and nasty. He's the first guy helping up an opposing player after a tackle, he's also the guy on D that's good for atleast one personal foul penalty.

Expectations should be high IMO.

Our DE play should be one the highlights of the 2014 team.

Rasco, Hunter, and Allen will be a very good 3some.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Allen play some DT in passing situations given our lack of depth there and his experience/size as a pass rusher

I think we may see Rasco take a few reps at DT. from a leadership standpoint, it will help to be able to put 2 Sr's on the line at times, and Hunter will just have to be out there as well

But if a guy like Hunter has an all-american season with 8 sacks out of the gate in our 1st 3 games that would be great!

Nah that would suck

I think at some point next season you'll see a starting 4 of Hunter, Herron, Thomas, and Rasco w/ LaCouture and Bain rotating in at the DT spots.

With the great secondary I expect to have.. they should definitely be a lot more active in the backfield. Most of (minus Collins) of the premiere tackles went pro in the SEC, right?

Id be suprised if Lacouture isnt a starter throughout, the coaches love him and hes got some good experience this past experience

Either way i think well have options to rotate linemen this year, we didnt have that luxury this season because that heavy DT class just wasnt ready for it.

Don't see the hype in Rasco. Hope he is special though, but I don't see it

Herron or Thomas will have to be much improved to take the starting job from LaCouture. He is a rock, very stout at the point of attack, right now, with no further development. If LaCouture can develop his hands and increase his burst in certain situations, he will be a very good SEC player.

Try watching an LSU game

I suggest starting with the bowl game, and working backwards.

He was good all year long, but I saw improvement toward the end. He and Hunter will be special next year.
