Garage door cable snapped.

One of the cables on the side snapped . What needs to be replaced besides the cable? What's it gonna cost me?

Probably not much, I had a spring break a while back and it was only around $75 for parts and labor.

You should replace both cables, it will save you another service fee when the other one breaks....

What are they making those things out of nowadays? Isn't it just like a regular rope material?

Check your spring as well. This exact thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. It was around $150 for us to get the spring replaced.
