3 Straight NFC Title games
With one Super Bowl appearance to show for it ( a loss). Smells like Andy Reid. I'll take Sean Payton over Andy Reid.

S.F. was a mess.
San Francisco 2010 was a mess...take a look at the 2005 Saints roster. If the 2010 49ers were a mess, the 2005 Saints were a catastrophe.
Immediate results...7 win improvement and an NFCCG appearance his first year. Super Bowl Champion by his 4th year. The best Harbaugh can do now is win it next year and match Payton

Or are you saying because the 49ers have such superior talent and the Saints are holding Payton back?
Yes, without Payton the Saints are a 7&9 team.

How am I being a hater?
I truly believe Payton is a better coach than Pete.
With Harbaugh it's a lot closer.

Last time I checked Carroll has beaten Payton three times in a row. Once on a MNF beatdown.

All 3 are great coaches
2 offensive minds and 1 defensive
You can't dismiss any of them

Agree, but without Brees that record might be worst

And where were these games played?
I'll give you a hint, they weren't in New Orleans. Not many teams win @Seattle.

the main knock id have against payton is that his team is jekyll and hyde.

I think they get that image mainly because of this past season.
They were so dominate at home that it made their play on the road look way worse. For whatever reason, there seemed to be a mental block there.
Under Payton they are 40-16 @ home, 33-23 on the road.
That's obviously a great home record, but that overall road record certainly isn't bad either.

agreed, i think the issue is more how different the offense looks on the road as compared to home, not necessary the overall record.

I'd say Payton. If he would have been allowed to coach in 2012, I think we'd have gone to the Super Bowl sometime in the past two seasons.
