eVent is good, but from what I've read, NeoShell is the best, most breathable membrane available right now. And Westcomb > (most) Arc'teryx since Arc'teryx moved much of its manufacturing out of Canada.

Demise of the dead bird is overstated IMO, but I definitely see Westcomb on sale much more often.
