does he take 2nd or 3rd tier players just to get to 25, or will he put those spots in the bank for next year?

this has been discussed.

there is a faction of us (me included) that think LSU signs 25 players no matter what.

there is a faction who think LSU goes all out, go big or go home, and signs less than 25 if they lose out on their top targets.

We may not take enough to get to 25 but IMO we will take a couple body's to fill depth.

I seriously doubt he signs 25, so theyll likely just get some EEs next year.

Same guys on here who bitch about filling spots with bodies will bitch about lack of depth next year if he doesn't. So it really doesn't meter what Miles does, amirite?

The answer is yes and no. I don't think we get to 25, but DT, OL, and Safety are areas of need for this class, so some offers will be handed out there that otherwise wouldn't have. For example, if we miss on Young I don't think we'll be taking another LB just to get to 25.

We're really in a good spot. The hardest guys to pick, coming out of HS, are Olinemen. So see what we get, and if we have two or three spots left, fill them with big men who are three star guys.

Has LSU (or any top SEC program) ever taken less than the maximum allowable? I think not. Why would we? It does not make sense for us having lost 17 underclassmen to the draft and the seniors that have left in the past 2 yrs.

2 OU 3 star Freshmen were named first team All-Americans this yr. Some of the 17 mentioned above were 3 star. So what is a top tier player?

CLM is working off a published list of 50 or more prospects. I think they are being methodical and careful to hold spots open for prime targets or commits who may be in contact with them until after NSD. No one knows how big that list really is.

Saban quit recruiting because they are full and he is too busy firing and blaming coaches and players for his losses. He hung posters over every players locker blaming them.

Do you think some of his commits might want to flip to get away from his negativity?
