Give me the rundown of Mobile Mardi Gras Krewes

Need to head down and see family soon, so I might as well catch a parade. Which are the best parades or krewes? Thanks.
In b4 Nola> Mobile, Mobile was the first Mardi Gras, etc.

Agree with Chris. Go down Thursday and stay until Sunday. You'll get Stripers Thursday which is always good, decent parade Friday night, Mystics of Time Saturday night which I believe is the largest parade and Joe Cain day Sunday.

I'm from the area and just can't stand Mobile Mardi Gras. I almost prefer Fairhope's over Mob-town.

The MOT is a good parade bc it is big and it is on Saturday night. I don't know about it being a great ball, though. I have heard that it way too big and it isn't hard (or expensive) to get tix, so you get a lot of undesirables in there.
I think Mardi Gras Day would be a great day to watch parades. KOR, King Felix Arrival, Comic Cowboys, & OOM all in one day.
As far as balls, I think that IM and KOR are great, but the best one is the OOM Sunday Party. OOM is outside, during the day, everyone is in suits / Sunday dress. The quality of the food and drinks are incredible.
But, then again, MOT might be a good option if you are only going to be here for a weekend.

MOT parade is probably my favorite. The ball is kind of a giant cluster frick though.

Pretty sure all the mardi gras krewes are mobile, otherwise they wouldn't be able to make it to the end of the parade route. Except Bacchus and Endymion always seem to break down for a couple hours each year.
