Pretty sure MLK would not want a day honoring what he did. He would have said that he was only one piece of the struggle.

And yes, there should be a day honoring the civil rights struggle.

I'm w/Dupont3 on this one. Black folk have been the object of so much oppression and racism, they be allowed to take off the entire months of January & February w/pay! The unfortunate ones that don't have a job during this time period should be paid from a special set up by each respective state paid into, of course, by those of us fortunate enough to have a job! Its the only right & just thing to do! Go MLK! Go MLK! Go MLK!

Too much to consider now. I'm debating how I'm going to celebrate. Will it be "ebony" or "interracial" porn tonight?

Of course, we could just all have 12 months.

O.K. if we can get a couple of months for white history month ..... oh hell, lets just make it the other 10 so we can cover it better.

I took an emergency service call in Houma today and passed through a large "celebration", blockparty or whatever you want to call it. How does the saying go, "some things cannot be unseen". Just wow...not sure to or .

No I don't think there should even be a BHM! Always screaming equal rights so why should there be a BHM and no white history month? I still can't understand why schools are closed in recognition of MLK day! What about Veterans Day or Presidents Day just to name a couple!

Here's a question, should I, as a white male, be expected to do anything differently for BHM?

I am in favor of NO racial history months at all

All you ever hear is how each race just wants to be equal and everyone treated the same, but then turn around and say they need certain days, months, tv channels, colleges or whatever so that they can be recognized or catered too.

All this type of stuff does is bring more attention to racism. Why cant we just keep everything truly equal like everyone says they want

What's the saying?

"All men are created equal. Just some more equal than others."
