Any ideas re: chk eng lite/catly converter problem ?

2005 Jeep Gr Cherokee V8 Hemi w/ check eng lite issue....deemed to be a catalytic convertor issue....repair @ Jeep is $1400 !!!!!

I always get a chuckle when people use this board for help with real life stuff and not TD stuff.

You can order them online for around 400 to 500 bucks - if you live in the Killian/Springfield area there should be some shade tree mechanic's with cutting torches and cracker box welders around there. Haynes Settlement section of Springfield use to have a couple shade tree shops.
