Just tried Starting Fluid, engine dies out right after. So it's not the engine but a component outside of that.

You will hear the fuel pump click on. Have someone try to start the car and have your ear by the gas tank. Right before the car starts you should hear the mechanical pump whirl. If you don't hear it then it's the fuel pump.

But like others have said.. probably just gummed up.

I had a small orifice get clogged in a generator's carburetor that required me to clean it out by hand from ethanol fricking it up.

It would crank and immediately die.
