The Lair is under the belief that Grimes has been hired. I still hope they can add KM in some capacity.

Grimes should be the frontrunner. If he's sincerely interested then you don't pass on him. Guy is one of the best coaches in the biz and also a top notch recruiter at the position. Take a look at that Auburn OL this year. He recruited them all and developed them for the most part.Did wonders with Greg Robinson in 2 years. Hes a home run if we can't get Borstad.

I understand quite a few people want Mawae but do we really need a guy that has no history at all as a coach or recruiter? If he's a bust then we are set back at least 2-3 years on the OL which we are already behind on. If he booms then great but can we afford to take that risk right now? I say no unless the pool is really just him and other unqualified candidates. You hire Grimes all day over Mawae
