Exactly what happens when interviewing for a coaching position? Is there a written exam, actual demonstration of coaching?

They bring in Gruden to quiz them with film, chalkboard, etc

Its an arm wrastling contest. If you beat Les, you then move onto the next round. I didnt beat him, so I have no clue what is beyond that.

They gather the team together and let the interviewee coach them right there. If no improvement is shown that day the person doesn't get the job.

It's probably a sit down to go over coaching philosophy at the position. All these coaches know each other and there is a ton of film available to see if what they like to run actually works.
I also think a lot of the interviews are really "courtesy" interviews and the head coach pretty much knows who will get the job anyway.
