Stop posting that. That's soooo tempting. Must stay loyal to Delta
It's an incredible offer. 110k points it's almost 3 Roundtrips to Europe in coach off peak for $200. And I can make up $200 in the admirals club on free booze.
How do you feel about the new delta point reward system?

I love it... I am one of the travelers they are trying to keep
But I talked to an AA Rep 2 weeks ago and they would give me platinum if I "decided" to fly with them the rest of the year. Those two things made that card hard to say no

I'm bumping to hopefully incorporate that other thread discussion back over here.
I've also come to a realization that Starpoints are really legit. 4,000 points a night to stay a Le Meredian Angkor Wat? Yes Please.
And that AA 100,000 mile offer is getting really really tempting

Looks OK to me: It was a Cat 3 (7,000 a night) but recently changed to a Cat 2 (4,000 a night).
And this is down the road:

Ya, each credit card has a thread about 3 times this long dedicated to it. Going into the rabbit hole over there.

I was assuming this thread bump was going to be because you can't buy VRs at CVS any more.

You can't buy them anywhere near me so it doesn't really matter.
I've got a ton of Marriott rewards points saved up right now. The wife and I are trying to decide where we want to go this summer.
We are thinking Italy but I am open to anything

If you're using Chase UR points, look into free one ways on United if you are only planning to do one place on your vacation.
With United award bookings, you get a stopover and two open jaws. So, if you fly out of your home airport A to rome, then return to A, put a stopover in for any period less than a year (I think that's the time limit) and then fly to wherever else you may need to go later in the year, say visit your parents or some other city in America.
Then all you need to do is book a return flight from that place. Google will help explain it if you need/want to do this.

Great hotel, I stayed there in 2011. Siem Reap and Angkor Wat is awesome
I worked at Starwood for 4 years and all my co-workers were high on the SPG Amex, so I went ahead and got one. I think it's the best card, at least for me. 1:1 with most airlines plus you get a 5,000 mile bump when you transfer 20,000 SPG points to an airline. And of course, Starwood has some really nice hotels. Great way is points and cash.
I also have the Citi AA Plat Mastercard for when a place doesn't accept Amex. But an example, I spend $20,000 on the Citi for everything (no AA purchases) and I get 20,000 AA miles. Well, I spend $20,000 on my SPG Amex and transfer it to AA, I get 25,000 AA miles. Good stuff.

Glad to see this thread is still alive. Just thought I would share that the first half of my 110K points for my Southwest Companion pass just posted today. By Monday, I should have them all in my account.
Ready for some BOGO flights for the next 18 months!

Thanks for your post. I already have the Starwood Amex. Its a nice card to have to fill in the gaps that my Chase UR cards can't do. Should be using it soon. Glad that hotel is as you say it is. Nothing like staying in a nice place for free.
Afro, I pretty much saw the news and said "OK." I'll just use my non Chase cards more often for regular spend and use my Ink at office stores to build a wad of points if I need them. I think something like 8,000 points a month via Ink is more than enough for my needs. OV/VRs at gas stations come next quarter could still be very much in play, so we lost just a little something, but I think it could be made up in other ways.

Understanding it can really, really add to the value of an award redemption.
