He was voted by NFL peers throughout the entire organization to be a leader in the players union. Along with guys like Drew Brees. You don't get that honor by being a dick and not being personable.

When it was reviled to us that he and cam have been talking about it via text and that he submitted a resume.

Nobody knows. Not a one. Y'all can argue all you want, but nobody on here knows what type of personallity he has. He may be a jerk that has a bad temper and doesn't like people. That may be why he was a great offensive lineman. He might be phoney on camera and that's why people don't like him once they get to know him. He might be a really nice guy. He might be bad at teaching kids how to do things. Nobody knows. Not someone you really want to take a chance on at a major school.

Dude a guy as described above would not have been elected twice to NFLPA president. Those players know bullshite.

But he is a guy that has blood , sweat and tears here at LSU. Give the guy a shot. He was a great player here and the nfl. Does that mean he can coach and recruit? Of course it doesnt, but sometimes you have to take a chance. Look at LM record at OSU. Was he a proven big time coach? His record didnt reflect it. Saban made plenty mistakes at LSU. My point is you learn as you go.

WTF? I've only stated he hasn't shown it anywhere. I don't know anytime LSU has added a first time position coach to it's staff.

If Mawae is the guy I hope he is the best recruiter/coach on the staff, because he's an incredible person.

HOF? I know that he is in the Polynesian Hall of Fame but he certainly isn't in the Pro Football HOF. Get your facts right.

well obviously, since he won't be eligible for 2 years, but he is a slam dunk HOF'er when he is eligible

Lsu actually brought Kevin in during the Memorial Day recruiting event to recruit C-Rob.

They had an in depth discussion about life after football and what it meant to graduate in your home state.

Wish him the best and all, but I hope this is just a courtesy and then they move on to more experienced candidates. LSU needs a proven coach and a proven recruiter.
