They aren't even practical. They dont block sunglight. THey cant keep your head warm. I dont understand.

You're talking out your arse here. They DO in fact block sunlight, just not as much as a baseball cap. But as someone stated earlier, a fedora has a wide brim, a trilby or "stingy brim" has a more narrow one. The true fedora blocks sunlight just fine.

And the ones made from a good quality felt are ten times warmer than a mesh and fabric snapback flatbill.

I get the initial hate for fedoras due to the high number of hipster douche's that wear them. But with the right cloths, on the right man, they are a nice touch of style and do serve a practical purpose.

Most of you haters are probably young guys who were wearing flatbill Affliction hats last year or backwoods blue collar types that consider pleated jeans, boots, and a western shirt to be "dressing up". For special occasions like weddings and funerals you'll wear your fancy lockblade instead of your everyday Leatherman on your leather belt that has your name stamped on the back.

Style, just like everything, should be approached with moderation. One fedora per group is probably a good rule.
