Do any of y'all know anyone that says "earl" and "ersters" that's not from the Greater Chalmette area? That's the only place I've heard it, but was wondering if some other region of the country had folks that said those words like that.

I say earl. I started saying it that way in a tongue-and-cheek manner. But I did it so often, it just became the way I say it. The same goes for pronouncing "route" like "root." I started making fun of people who say "root" but now I just say it like that all the time. Oh, and Corch Irvin Maya too.

I was to slap people who say C, especially when they pronounce every other English word properly. My coworkers do this. Trying too hard.
