No doubt Red is a joke and deserves the criticism. Without knowing, I'm going to chalk it up to some kind of senile depression mixed in with an inflated sense of importance. UT will continue to take his money, but they hope he leaves his opinions at home. I think we're really beginning to see that Dodds' absense is leaving some folks with some abandonment issues. No way would Dodds have bucked the BMD's.

Sounds like the Old Guard is finally being snuffed out of UT. Started with Dodds, then Brown, now Jamail/McCombs. Ole Red is pissed that he and his cronies were left out of the decision making process for Mack's replacement.

It's funny that Red said he is wanted Gruden. When was the last time Gruden recruited HS talent, hired a college coaching staff, made up a gameplan???

That bizarre behavior came about when Red got wind of the Strong deal & in his dysfunctional way thought he could derail it by floating rumors of Gruden. In reality, he thought he was in a much better position to make the decision and talking about a former NFL coach who had no coaching job was relatively safe. He damn sure wasn't going mention Saban or anyone else who was currently employed.
