i think it is pretty bad for the first 2 weeks. we will also probably need more surgeries in the future. but it beats the alternative. first pediatric ortho recommended amputation of both legs.

holy crap...no intervening treatment, just amputation? Kudos for not following that recommendation and getting a second opinion.
