Fired it up on Netflix and loving it through 3 episodes. What does the board think of this show?

What brand of humor is it?

Great show. The casting and characters are excellent. In just one season, every character is developed and given ethos and an interesting story. (Bill FTW) It's funny and endearing and somehow not cheesy at all and anyone who's been in high school can relate

Very similar to Firefly - it is quite obviously "too good" for television - at least at the time.
Things have changed - tastes have changed - but when you just consider the number of young stars that really got their break on F&G - not to mention how well it was done.
In my case, I was almost literally Sam - I think he was a year older, as I started high school in 1981, but otherwise, very, very similar to me, biographically. I took an instant liking to the show, but it was supremely well done - top to bottom.

Oh, you're in for a wild ride my friend. I was upset when I heard the 5th season would be the last season, but it ended perfectly. AMC is making it's mark on TV history.

I think it's fricking awesome. Absolutely hilarious. Shame it was cancelled.
2 things:
1) I would do dirty, dirty things to Lindsay Weir.
2) Bill Haverchuck is one of the greatest characters in TV history

Fantastic show with an obviously great cast. No idea how it only got one season

I enjoyed it when I watched it, but the coolest part was seeing how young everyone was and what they are now. I'm surprised Judd only made one season.

Thanks to this thread, I finally gave the show a watch last night and finished the first 3 episodes. Loved them. It's such a simple show, but it's extremely addicting only 3 episodes in. And obviously, the cast is phenomenal.
