I have a crew. They won't fit on a 10' trailer.
As far as buying used, I bought mine used with 300hrs on it. Was used by adults, and came with a maintenance log. Was very well taken care of, and with the exception of a few scratches was in great condition. I wouldn't have bought the crew, but the deal I got on it would have been stupid to pass up.

Mine is the 500 EFI. Just regular cab.
For everything that I've needed it for the 500 has mre than enough power. I've pulled our 19ft cc boat around without any trouble at all. Also, pulled around my trailer (6x10) loaded with sand with no issues.
I thought I wanted the crew but I really haven't needed it. My kids just sit in the back when we all ride in it.
Also, like others have said you need a 12ft trailer for the crew.
ETA: One of my closest friends sells them. I was asking him about getting used and he said that tyically they have been so beat up that he wouldn't recommend it. Not saying that you can't find one occasionally that is in good condition but most will be pretty well abused. I haven't necessarily abused mine but I'm not easy on it either.
