Russell Shepard and Tony Upchurch are the only two Houston Metro area offensive players LSU signed/will sign.

Brockers, Loston, Thompson and Hunter from that time will be only defensive players that contribute. Few attrition guys from that time as well.

I'm not from Louisiana, (married into being a fan) so has this always been the case? Seems like it would be a fertile area to sign a few guys year after year

We get a few of guys from Texas on Offense. Jarrett Lee, Matt Flynn etc.

We get guys from TX every year. But since we dont get them from Houston every year we are doing something wrong because its a fertile ground.... nice logic.

Doesnt matter where the players are from. Breaux Bridge is loaded with guys every year. Other areas in the state arent. Yet randomly there will be a stud that comes out of an area that isnt known as a fertile recruiting area. Doesnt matter where they are, as long as you get them.

Solid point OP. If we recruited more offensive players from the Houston metro area we would probably have many more NCs. I blame the coaching staff.




But in all seriousness I don't see what this has to do with anything?
