So many players are leaving early.

Is this going to happen every year? And will this be the new excuse if LSU loses? Seems like this is going to be a every year thing, and will prevent us from reaching our full potential.

Nobody can compete with defections like this, year in and year out.

it seems like that's the norm now with LSU. 3 and out. it happens to some extent everywhere but it is looking like clean sweep at LSU.

How is this different than any other elite team? Great players leave early. Maybe we should recruit a bunch of less talented players who won't be NFL prospects. I'm sure that will work well.

Such a refreshing topic. It shouldn't be ignored by the posters on this board any longer. Thanks for bringing it to our attention

I know this is talked about alot. If you don't want to talk about it, then fine. But let me tell yall this. I don't want to hear "well we lost because we didn't have Jarvis or Odell". Just like I heard this year about our defense. Every year LSU will lose a ton of players early. Something needs to change, or LSU will struggle to get back in the National Championship.
Don't get me wrong, I wish all of our players the best luck in the NFL and believe that they will be productive in the NFL.

I don't expect a repeat of 2012 but don't act like LSU has never had players declare early. There are always 1-2 each year.

It looks like Bama is losing a lot of players too, right? It happens to teams with elite talent. Yes, it will be the norm. Get use to it with rookie salary cap.

We just need to play players earlier and bench the older players.
Red shirting Gilmore is pointless. He will play the next 2 years and leave

if we keep recruiting the best of the best, yes...it will happen every year.

Well you need to get use to the fact that college football is nothing but the minors for the nfl. Always has been really.

Kentucky basketball has one-and-done players all the time and how do you think they do?

we live in hope that it will not but, as I have stated before, LSU seldom recruits kids from affluent backgrounds.

a valid explanation is not an excuse.

only time will tell.

Happens to every team that's full of NFL talent. Especially when a lot of them have kids.
