"They weren't better than us, period."

So says Philly cornerback Cary Williams.
Alot of butthurt Eagles players
Lots of excuses in this article. I don't think they realize they were losing the majority of the game, and if not for Lewis' injury, it may not have even been that close.
They seem pretty shocked they lost.

Carolina wasn't better than the Saints. shite happens. Deal with it.

Maybe Cary shouldn't have horse collared Sproles if he wanted to win.

We PROVED on the field that we were the better team. If Brees does not throw one pass (that he said he forced both ints), and Keenan Lewis does not come out for the remainder of the game, then we not only win, but pitch a shutout.

My Philly buddy tole me today that he didn't see how I could be happy with that win, neiter team deserved to win the game, it was ugly, and the Saints will get killed next week anyway.
I just laughed and said I'll take a playoff win however it comes

Saints DOMINATED statistically. The only luck involved was an average Philly team hosting a playoff game, and Brees forcing a throw in the first half.
Saints ran the ball at will and shut down McCoy and Desean.
Philly can STSDB.

We were much better. Only reason it wasn't a two TD victory was because of two Brees picks.

Not only that, but our defense fricking dominated them all game until Lewis got concussed. It's as if they think they were running up and down the field.

We dominated that game in every facet except turnovers.

Foles doesn't dick around and eat the football for a stupid 11 yard sack in the first quarter, Henery has a chip-shot FG that he probably makes.
That being said, screw them. The Saints were better.

Am I the only one who was outraged that Philly did not have one single holding penalty, but we had like 5????
The refs did not call it both ways. There is holding on virtually every play in the NFL and our dline was held a lot last night and they never called it once. IMO, that stat alone kept Philly in the game.

How lame.
Saints come to your shitty field in front of your shitty fans with your shitty weather, lose an offensive and defensive MVP and give you two picks and you still get your arse beat.
Yeah, they aren't better.

Even then, it's not like we could not score on Philly's own ten with 2 minutes to go and 2 timeouts the way we were runnings. Same result, but Philly woulda had like 10-30 seconds left.

This has been going on for quite some time. It's call the Goodell Rule.

I thought that rule was "Drew Brees is the only QB in the NFL who has to stand completely still on 4th and 1."
Posted on 1/5/14 at 12:37 pm to lsutigers1992
That's Goodell Rule, subsection 92c.

I was thinking the same thing, seems like every other play they were holding and I was yelling at the tv, but not called once. Seeemed one sided. And dont get me started on the broadcasting crew

If Lewis doesn't go down, this game isn't close. Fact.
