My lil boy will be close to a year come summertime. At what age did you first bring your child in the boat?

He did alright, we were in hot sun though. Gotta have shade for them.

2 for my girls. Short bream fishing trips and lengthened as their attention span did. I'd go find some beds then take them back. Or catfishing. Would have 6-8 rods of the party barge. Let them play around then reel 'em in when we hooked one. They're 13 and 15 now and can do everything themselves including setting and running yo-yos and trotlines.

He was 15 or 16 months old. Don't try it by yourself, he was all over the boat.

Took my girl when she was three.
My grandson has been in a boat, his great grandfather owns a pond in Louisiana. He's two.
Destined to be an outdoors boy, they even got him in camo these days.
Spitting image of his grand dad when he was that age.

Had the wife in a pirogue one day before my son was born. That count?
Had him out there a 4 weeks old.

All 3 of mine started short rides at 2 or so. The oldest fishes with my dad and I in Delhi. If he gets cold or hot, MeeMaw can always drive around the lake and pick him up. I don't have a boat here.
