The major media outlets vilified George W. Bush for his congratulatory address to the crew of the USS Abraham Lincoln in front of a Mission Accomplished banner. This despite the banner having been produced by the ship's crew, and Bush never uttering the phrase mission accomplished. Why has Obama been spared the same sort of vilification for the inaccurate statements he has actually made? Why haven't his statements been questioned by those media outlets?
