Ha. Fairly certain I did not mention this poster. Now, Jester's wing stealing table breaking self is another matter entirely.

Fear, what I did say was how pumped I was about Holiday. How you like me now?

yeah we were both pretty pumped about that trade, especially after the disappointment I had over the noel pick

I was trying to learn to accept Noel, then the news came down.

Great stuff.

but do you have any numbers to back up the claim that

He is shooting at 43%, his second worse season shooting, and is on pace to take more shots than he has ever before.

His scoring efficiency has gone down every season since his rookie year.

Six players on the team have a higher player efficiency rating than him this season.

Nine players average more rebounds per game than him

He is averaging 2 TO a game

FG% doesn't account for the value of his three point shooting. His eFG% is basically the same as both Tyreke and Jrue.

He's never been a good rebounder. We knew that before the contract. And our team REB% doesn't change with him on the floor, so it's hard to hold that against him.

Raw turnover numbers don't tell anything, because players who have the ball more naturally turn the ball over more. For the Pelicans, the four players with the highest usage rate are the four players with the most TOPG. Turnover rate is a more accurate statistic, and all of them have low turnover rates with the exception of Jrue.

There are two legitimate concerns over Gordon's game this year. First, his assist rate is down from a respectable level for secondary ball-handlers to a sub-standard level. And second, the defense has been better without him on the floor. Other than that, people are nitpicking at his game.

If Gordon was making 7 million a year people would be agreeing with you

His performance relative to his contract and his performance relative to the team are two different things. Some posters act as if this team would be better without Gordon.

There's no doubt that he's underperforming relative to the contract. That hinders the team in regards to how they're able to improve the roster and that's killer. But in terms of his on-court performance, he's still a pretty good player.

I was a big fan of EG10 up until a few weeks ago when I started to notice something about his game, he is a plague. He doesn't make anyone around him better and he is actually hurting the growth of Tyreke Evans and Jrue Holiday when he is playing.

I thought this was going to be his year to bounce back and show the world he can play with other guys but he can't. He is the Kobe Bryant of this team with less talent.

He has got to go. Send him to Brooklyn.

I had a dream one night a few weeks back. The Pels traded EG and moved TE to the 2 and signed Lebron. It was awesom we wrecked shat then I woke up.
