I love winning, but a spade is a spade and to give accolades for a 9-3 regular season record over who we defeated is not right. Take Auburn out-a great win, the record of the eight teams we beat was 38-58 and remember we struggled with 4 & 8 TCU and with 3 & 9 Arkansas. Our other wins over 4&8 Kent St, over 6&6 Ms State, over 4&8 Florida, over 7&5 Furman, and a great win over 8&4 Tx A&M

Why would you take auburn out?

Look at some of those records you posted, 3-9 arky (they ALWAYS play LSU tough)
4-8 florida
6-6 MSU
and so on.
LSU lost a sh!tload of people to the draft last year and still went 10-3.
I'm not talking about you, but LSU fans in general are just plain spoiled.

Fans are idiots. Yeah let's take off auburn cus it doesn't count. And the TCU game was won from the first snap. Les has absolutely nothing to do with the d, Chavis saved his job. Now his offense sets records again and we are now going to blame the d on him and act like he wasn't calling offensive plays the last 9 years and had everything to do with the defensive woes.

Oh for the love of Pete.

Well, time to break this out. Courtesy of GeauxTigerTM.

Take a 20 year snap shot. We'll start in 2000 and go to 2020. Other than Alabama, what program in the country would you prefer to be than LSU? Don't tell me about missed opportunities, or specific complaints about LSU. No program is without their fair share of missteps. Give me a program that will have had a better 20 year run and why they are better. From 2000 to today (13 seasons), LSU has won 2 national championships, played for a third, won 4 SEC titles, played for a 5th, had a Heisman finalist, put a metric shite ton of players into the NFL, has played in 13 straight bowl games, won at a rate never dreamed of in our program's history, has not had a losing season and have not won less than 8 games the entire run. In a few days, we will witness the beginning of what may well be the greatest recruiting class in the history of our program all declare on national TV which will mean more winning, more success, more of everything many of us have come to enjoy over the past 13 years. And in spite of that, you're angry. To be honest, my only problems with our program are fans who, for some unknown reason, are either unwilling or unable to accept the fact that we're as good as we've ever been and the future is even brighter than today. That's not spin...it's a fricking fact. It's a damn shame that Alabama's recent and unprecedented successes at the hands of our former coach has warped the sense of some of our fans...but other than that program, there is not one in the nation that has had more or can expect more success on the horizon than our own. Sorry you're unable to enjoy it. Happy New Years...try and be less of a dick in 2014.

Take Auburn out-a great win,

Typical negatiger analysis methodology. Why, whyyyyy, WHY would remove our victory over the SEC champion and a BCS championship caliber team when grading LSU's season?

struggling to win is irrelevant. this was a year inwhich pretty much the entire defense had to rebuild. we lost uga thanks to that. we lost ole miss thanks to an overaggressive OC and (or) qb; i guarantee you miles didn't dial up those long passes into double and triple coverage that were intercepted. this team was very close to being 12-1 or certainly 11-2. considering who we lost that was pretty damn good coaching this year.

of course, people view things different ways. you choose to trash les miles over a 10-3 record. there's so much critisism of les miles no matter what he does that he doesn't have a chance with some people.
