Anyone found any hidden gems during the Steam Holiday Sale?

You know....games you otherwise wouldn't have bought (its only a couple of dollars) or wouldn't have been aware off if it didn't pop up on the list of current sales.
My biggest winner is "Don't Starve"
Its a very well polished game where you are dropped in a procedurally generated world with nothing, and you try to survive.
No guide, no help, just the antagonist telling you that you don't look so well, you might want to get a little something in you to eat before nightfall.
While you can save the game, you can't "backup save."
That is, when you die, you can't go back to an earlier attempt of the game. You have to start fresh in a newly generated world that may be considerably different from the last, so techniques may not be quite as effective.
It is a seemingly simple game on the surface, but the longer you play and the harder you look the deeper it appears. I don't want to give specifics because a lot of the fun of this game is stumbling across thing on your own and figuring things out.
Now I am going to go build some more drying racks so I can make rabbit jerky in anticipation of winter.
That fricker is always coming.

Case in point: I was just attacked by wolves in the middle of the night, wasn't as prepared for an attack as I should have been, and then it turned out I had done something earlier that apparently gives me a one time resurrection, as it teleported me to that point before deconstructing.
And in the typical charm of the game, the protagionist proclaims on reviving "I sure showed them!"

Roguelike game eh? High potential for frustration.

Yep.
But thats why the polish of it is so important.
Its harsh but not unfair.
