It's obvious you are not knowledgeable about the schools. You complain about Kenilworth not knowing it's a magnet charter school. So, I'll leave it to you to argue without knowing what you're arguing about.

You are missing my point completely....I'm guessing because you don't want to acknowledge the insanity of sending kids from southern and southwestern EBR into mid city for middle school - past two public schools much closer to home.

Kenilworth Middle being an RSD facility is just another reason for St. George parents to be incredibly frustrated with having to send their kids all the way to Westdale and not Glasgow or Kenilworth.

You've provided tremendous insight into this subject...but if you were being honest with yourself, you'd see the problem with the current zoning and understand the justification for more middle schools and another high school in the south western part of East Baton Rouge.

I don't think St George will affect a lot of the inner city schools. They will just shift the population not in St George to fill spots at Tara, Broadmoor, Belaire, and if a new Lee High is built.

You may see a new group of kids from lower middle class families that were in private school or outside the area moving into this area to attend St George Schools.

I don't think St George will get the signatures or votes to become a city. It is sad because the young families with kids is the group we need to help keep BR alive and growing in the future will be in neighboring parishes. South EBRP will look like Florida Blvd in 10 to 15 years while Sherwood, Broadmoor, and East Florida Blvd will be like North Baton Rouge.

It will be a matter of time before Ascension and Livingston Parish start building shopping centers, movie theaters, and developments like Perkins Rowe that will attract the businesses along with the sales in South EBRP.
