So tonight i started body beast plus on each day i do 3 sets of either bench, squats, press, or deads.
Tonight was bench plus chest and tris. JESUS CHRIST THAT WAS HARD.
Hardest workout from a muscle endurance standpoint i have seen in any of the beachbody programs.
After the giant set, essentially a superset of close grip bench/flat flyes/feet elevated pushups, i was spent. In fact i couldn't even do regular pushups during the sets.
Overall great Workout, up there with the challenge. Only thing i will change is dips for kick backs and then using barbell movements instead of db when it makes sense.
I knew i wasnt ready for that kind of volume and its why i am extending each phase, prolly try to stretch the program to 24 weeks, so double the normal time i believe. Right now i am on zero carbs for over a week so the volume is a lot for me, but after next week i will start slowly adding carbs and go more towards the body beast plan.
For those not coming from a volume program, get ready because it will humble you and kick your arse. For those coming from one of the other programs, get ready because it's gonna kick your arse too.
Btw this program is only $40 right now which is a steal. Also you can use a stability ball in place of the bench, so not as much equipment as one would think.

I'm jealous.
Yesterday was V-Sculpt in X2. What a fantastic workout.
Tonight is Plyocide. I wonder if I should skip it, tho. My right knee feels weird. It feels like it has an air bubble that needs to pop but it won't, so it just hurts.

I'm really tempted to jump on this and do the body beast lean plan. Maybe throw in some added cardio and yoga. Not trying to bulk, just lean muscle. Im in week 5 of p90x3 right now and I like it, but it just doesnt feel like enough.
