There really is no reason to not hold this for years and years.

Speculative play? I like VUZI. Look them up. I'm on the fence about going real aggressive on this one...

KNDI. Pollution concerns in China and Gov't backing will keep driving this one up. Solid company also. Some deeming it the next TSLA in terms of stock, but obviously that's way too premature.

If you had said this on the 26th.. I would be very impressed. Looked it up and it was up 25% on Friday.

I am interested in the impact of PEMEX going private will be on both petroleum construction and refining. Are they going to be a private entity or are they going to make their reserve assets available to other companies?

This could have a huge impact on Texas and Louisiana--just not sure what kind of impact.

Does KBR expect more work in Mexico?

what are everyones thoughts on Freeport-McMoran? They've been fairly stagnant. I know they purchased plains earlier this year to expand their O&G portfolio. I'm looking for a stock that I can hold for a year or so waiting on a rebound(+10%)

I've touted (MAIN) Main Street Capital before.

This morning the company announced today an end of 2013 update as the new year begins.

Highlights:

*As part of this update, we're pleased to report that our investment portfolio and low cost operating structure are estimated to generate quarterly distributable net investment income in excess of our previously announced regular monthly dividends for the fourth quarter of 2013 and the first quarter of 2014, both of which were increases from the previous sequential quarters.

*In addition, after consideration of the fourth quarter of 2013 investment portfolio activity discussed below and the current investment portfolio as of December 31, 2013, we expect first quarter of 2014 distributable net investment income per share will also exceed our previously declared regular monthly dividends per share for the first quarter of $0.495 per share. (1)

*We are entering 2014 on a run-rate annual dividend of $2.48 per share, based upon our regular monthly dividend for the first quarter of 2014 of $0.495 per share and our previously provided guidance that our shareholders should expect two semi-annual supplemental dividends of $0.25 per share per year. In addition, we currently expect to be in position to deliver at least one additional increase to our regular monthly dividends during 2014, which we expect will increase our run-rate annual dividend to greater than $2.50 per share by this same time next year.

MAIN currently pays 16.5 cent dividend every month. 14 dividends per year which includes the two supplemental bonus dividends. 6% annual yield

After the Holidays I've been really interested in UPS, FED Ex, and Amazon. I know these aren't groundbreaking stocks, but for the first time I was astounded at the number of people who shopped solely online. Any thoughts on these or similar stocks? I see they are all near all time highs.
